Users of online service WebAsyst Shop-Script have an opportunity to associate their own domain name with their online storefront. in addition to that, they can also create email addresses based on the that domain name; e.g., info@domain.com, alex@domain.ru, etc. (instead of info@accountname.webasyst.net, alex@accountname.webasyst.net). This is possible only in the following 2 cases:
Note: If you have rented DNS servers to host your domain name and to change its IP address, you will not be able to create email addresses based on your domain name.
In this case an email address can be created with WebAsyst Mail. Open the "Inbox" folder, click on "Add mail box" and select option "Create new Email address on the WebAsyst mail server".
In this case you have to use the control panel of your web hosting account to change the MX records of your domain name - they should be changed to the IP address of your web-hosting server.
Tip: For more convenience you may create a third-level domain name and assign it the IP address of your hosting server; that subdomain can then be used for the MX records of your main domain. However, use of a third-level domain name for this purpose is entirely optional.
After the setup described above is completed, create an email address using the control panel of your web hosting account.
Note: If you have purchased DNS servers rather than virtual hosting service in order to attach a domain name to your WebAsyst account, then creation of email addresses based on the attached domain name would be unavailable.
