The product catalog in WebAsyst Shop-Script works in such a way that products located in its root are not visible in the storefront. However, products that had been published in the storefront, remain accessible at their old URLs, even if they were later on moved to the catalog root. The URLs of such product info pages may have been saved by users in their browsers or in search engines databases.
In order to hide certain products from the storefront and make them inaccessible at their URLs, it is recommended to enable the "Invisible" option in such products' settings. This parameter can be changed in the "Products -> Products & Categories" section in the "Other details" tab of the product settings page.
Attempts to open a page at the URL of a product that has been made "invisible" will generate the 404 "Page Not Found" error code.
Tip: to quickly change the "Invisible" setting for a large number of products use of the CSV file import feature.
