For in-depth analysis of the web traffic in your Shop-Script storefront you can quickly start using the free powerful tool Google Analytics. WebAsyst Shop-Script is pre-configured to be used in conjunction with Google Analytics. This means that you do not have to embed additional code in your website pages, all that is necessary is to sign up for a Google Analytics account and enable the corresponding module in the online store configuration, as described below.
If you do not have a Google account or would like to use a separate account for Google Analytics, sign up at http://www.google.com/analytics/sign_up.html.
If you already have a Google account, go to http://www.google.com/analytics/ and click on "Access Analytics" to log in.
If you never used Google Analytics before, click on the "Sign Up" button on the next page. Enter your website's URL, the account name (any suitable title will do), choose the country and the time zone, and click on "Continue".
On the next page enter your last and first name, choose the country and click on "Continue".
Read the user agreement, tick the " Yes, I agree to the above terms and conditions" option to agree with it, and click the "Create New Account" button.
On the next page leave the default option "New Tracking Code (ga.js)" selected and click on "Finish". The Google Analytics account registration is completed.
Google Analytics provides information on sales made in an online store to the store administrator. Automatic sales data transfer is already built in WebAsyst Shop-Script, so in order to start using it simply enable the sales registering option in your Google Analytics profile. To do so, click on the "Edit" link to the right of the profile name as shown in the picture:

On the page that opens change the "E-Commerce Website" value to "Yes". Click on the "Edit" link in the top-right corner of the "Main Website Profile Information" section:

Select the "Yes, an E-Commerce Site" and click "Save Changes":

Log in to the WebAsyst Shop-Script backend and open the "Tools -> Google Analytics" section.
Copy your account number from Google Analytics. To view the account number, click on "Analytics Settings" in the left-top corner. The account number will be displayed to the right of your website URL above the profile list, it has the form UA-********-*. Paste the copied number to the "Account number" field in the online store settings and enable the "Enable integration with Google Analytics" option.
Choose the currency that corresponds to the United States dollars in your online store. This is required for correct calculation of order amounts in sales reports.
Click on "Save". Google Analytics has been set up for your online store.
Important note: Immediately after the setup described above there will be no information in the Google Analytics reports! At this time the profile status in your Google Analytics account will be marked with a "clock" symbol accompanied with the "Waiting for Data" note. It means that you need to wait until Google Analytics collects all necessary information from your website, before any visits or sales data appear in reports. As a rule, the data collection is completed within 24 hours, so the first reports may become available on the next day after the setup completion.
