What is Shop-Script?

Shop-Script is a popular software product for creating online stores which has been developed by our company (in addition to WebAsyst services). Shop-Script comes with fully open source code — you can download and install Shop-Script on your own or your hosting provider's web server.

WebAsyst Shopping Cart service was developed on the basis of Shop-Script PREMIUM software package and currently offers more features than Shop-Script. WebAsyst Shopping Cart is easier to use if you are about to start your online business.

Is Shop-Script better than WebAsyst Shopping Cart?

It is not a case of "better", but a choice depending upon your needs.
Both products are used for creating online stores: however, these products are designed for different categories of users. WebAsyst Shopping Cart allows to establish online store instantly. Shop-Script is delivered as open source code solution, and gives more freedom in changing store functions and design. If you want your online store installed on your own web server, and want to have full access to its source code, choose Shop-Script. If your goal is start selling online ASAP - get WebAsyst Shopping Cart.

Can I buy WebAsyst Shopping Cart as downloadable software to install on my server?

Yes. You can purchase and download WebAsyst Shopping Cart. Customers who already purchased Shop-Script shopping cart solution can download WebAsyst Shopping Cart software from their Customer Center accounts.

Can I use my own domain name with my store?

Currently this is possible but not automated.
Contact your domain registrar (or hosting provider) regarding domain forwarding service. You should update DNS records for your domain name by entering our server IP address 72.55.148.182. After you do this, contact us — mention which domain name you would like to use with your storefront, and we will do the necessary setup.

How can I change my storefront design?

Very simply. Login to your store backend and go to the "Presentation" screen; use WYSIWYG design editor to tune your storefront look&feel. Follow the instructions given inside this design editor.

Do you have more design templates?

We have just released WebAsyst Shopping Cart service and currently offer only one design template. More design templates are coming soon... you will be able to switch to new design themes as soon as we release them.
