Creating new projects While creating new project you must specify following attributes:
|
Outlining scope of work
Managing scope of work and planning your projects with WebAsyst Projects is incredibly easy to do. Task list is as supple as a desktop program.

Printer-Friendly Version for the task list
WebAsyst Projects is not only an on-screen tool. You can print a paper copy of your project's outline with proper margins, fitted columns, and colorful Gantt Charts.

Adding tasks to project
Only project manager and a user who has "Project" or "Task" access rights can add/modify tasks for particular project.

Every task has following attributes:
|
Bulk adding of tasks using Import function
Need to enter hundreds of task entries to your project? Or just want to move your task list from a spreadsheet file into Projects? With Import function it will take a minute. Simply copy and paste a scope of tasks in a special text area, or upload a CSV file.

Task Export function
You can create a text copy of your task list in a simple CSV format. You can then paste this data into you favorite text or spreadsheet editor, import to another project management tool (e.g. MS Project), or even use as a template to re-import to a new project in your WebAsyst Projects account.
Linking files to projects
You can create a dedicated file repository for every project on the Files tab as it is shown in the sample screenshot below:

Here you can upload and download files, create subfolders, and organize all project files. In fact, the Files tab actually links to the WebAsyst Files service associated with a particular project. All projects folders are also accessible from the main Files service screen and appear in a separate section - Projects Files. Using Files service you can copy/move any regular folder from your Files directory to/from Projects Files section. It allows you easily to link files or entire folder to your project, or conversely, drag a folder from a project’s zone.
Access rights to all project folders are inherited from the project. In other words, you do not bother customizing user or group permissions for every folder linked to your project. Instead, all permissions already set for your project will be applied to the project folders.
Completing/Resuming projects
Completing projects is the prerogative of the project manager or the user who has "Project" access rights. In order to complete a project this person must specify Complete Date and decide how to treat open tasks (if any) for this project. Options are: 1. leave tasks as open or 2. force completion of open tasks. Completed projects disappear from the open project list. A completed project can be resumed.
