File uploader in WebAsyst Photos allows to select up to 500 files and queue them for the upload. The progress is displayed in a browser; uploading process can be aborted at any time.
WebAsyst Photos saves the originally uploaded image file and automatically generates several thumbnails of smaller size: 96х96 (cropped), 144х144 (cropped), 256, 512, 750 and 970 pixels in the largest dimension. Thumbnails are used to display uploaded images in a photo gallery, when you send links to photos to your friends or export photos for embedding in forums or blogs.
We apply sharpening filter automatically when creating thumbnails of the photos that you upload. It allows to achieve higher quality and better visual perception of thumbnails. Check for yourself:

WebAsyst Photos automatically applies the sharpening filter to thumbnails when they are saved. Thumbnails shown below were generated without the filter applied. Place the mouse cursor over an image to see how it would look with the sharpening filter applied.
You may disable the image sharpening, though we would not recommend doing so as it is one of the advantages of using WebAsyst Photos instead of other similar products.
Technical note for the buyers of our PHP scripts: graphics management is performed by means of PHP extensions GD or Imagick (this choice is available in the software settings to fit the current server configuration). For the sharpening filter to work on your server one of the following functions must be supported by the server: GD function imageconvulsion() or function Imagick::sharpenImage().
WebAsyst Photos will definitely gratify you with its performance. We strived to make the image management as convenient as if they were not somewhere on the Internet but on yout own computer, so that everything loaded quickly without too many pages being refreshed all the time. WebAsyst Photos offers various enjoyable features: scaling images using a slider, keyboard navigation (using arrow keys ← and →) etc.
Main application screens have been designed to perform all your actions during photo viewing as quickly as possible: when photos are viewed one by one, the next photo is retrieved as a background process, an photos that are beyond the viewing range are not downloaded without necessity.
WebAsyst Photos displays the main available EXIF information of a photo (what is EXIF?): when the photo was shot, what camera model was used, what was the exposure, diaphragm value, ISO etc.
The following basic image editing operations are supported: rotation by 90 degrees clockwise and counter-clockwise (to the right and to the left), cropping (cutting a part of an image).
WebAsyst Photos allows both publishing or showing photos to others and managing images together with other account users. Three access levels to photo albums are available: read access (a user can only view photos), write access (a user may view and upload photos, and edit descriptions), full access (a user may view or upload photos and publish albums). Access rights to each album are assigned to WebAsyst account users or user groups (each user has a personal login name and a password).
WebAsyst Photos allows importing photos from your Flickr account. To import photos, log in to your Flickr account, select the photo set to be exported and just wait while photos are being imported (import is performed automatically).
Open the required photo, and on the right you will see a link or the photo that can be emailed or sent over ICQ/MSN/Skype/Jabber, code for embedding in a forum (BBcode), a web site or a blog (HTML code). Just copy & paste and you are done!
Obtaining links to several selected photos is almost just as easy: tick the necessary photos inside an album and click on the "Links to photos" link on the right — WebAsyst Photo will generate a common code for all selected photos.
Our service was developed for those who need to nicely publish photos online (we are using WebAsyst Photos, too, and perfectly know how important is good visual presentation of graphics on the Web).
The publicly accessible interface of WebAsyst Photos is the photo gallery that contains a list of all published albums. The photo gallery has a permanent URL and is accessible by any Internet user (does not require authorization), for example: http://www.your_domain.com/photos/
WebAsyst Photos offers a built-in CSS styles editor for the photo gallery. Possessing basic knowledge of CSS will allow you to easily change the look and feel of the gallery (e.g. fonts, background, indents, page layout etc.).

A photo album in WebAsyst Photos can have one of the following three statuses:
Private publication is very handy for publishing albums that are not intended for access by everybody with such albums not appearing in the common list but still accessible via a secret link.
This tool allows combining several photos into collections and obtaining a link to them (example: http://demo.webasyst.net/photos/paragliding) or code that can be embedded in any HTML page (see a sample widget on the left).
A collection can be created from any number of selected images or from an entire album.
In WebAsyst Photos there is no intrusive advertisement.
