    WebAsyst Mail Features

    All you need is an Internet connection and one of the browsers listed:

    Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari or Opera.

    No additional software is necessary.

    There are two ways to use WebAsyst:

    First option: Create an account on our server

    Your files and data are stored on a secure, high-availability server cluster, and are accessible via Internet 24/7. Alternatively, you can use an SSL secured connection to protect your data while in transit. SSL encryption is widely used by payment systems, financial and governmental institutions to prevent hacking of transferred data.

    Second option: Download and install software on your own server

    WebAsyst applications are server scripts developed using PHP programming language. WebAsyst scripts, installed on your own server will perform identically to those installed on our. All features and functions available in our server accounts will be accessible in your own installed copy of the scripts. More detail on scripts.

    Write message

    WebAsyst Mail has a built-in editor that allows you to apply rich formatting to HTML contents of your outgoing messages. The editor has an intuitive and simple to use interface that requires no additional skills or time to learn.

    Using templates

    If you often need to send messages similar in style, you can create a template containing a general layout and formatting. Save it, and it can be used later for additional messages simply by filling in appropriate information.

    Personalize messages

    Special template variables can be used to personalize each outgoing message copy. These template variables will be replaced with the values of corresponding contact fields. For example, 'C_FIRSTNAME' will be replaced with the contact's name and 'C_LASTNAME' with the last name.

    You can use the template variable to place any contact field stored in WebAsyst Contacts value into an outgoing message, making possibilities to personalize message virtually limitless.

    Send

    When you are ready to send a message, WebAsyst Mail allows you to select recipients from WebAsyst Contacts records. WebAsyst Contacts provides a number of useful features to prepare lists from contacts selected one by one, those included into a certain folder, or specific recipients chosen via a filtered search result and stored beforehand.

    Send now or schedule for later

    WebAsyst Mail lets you choose between sending a message immediately or at a later date and time which you specify. Scheduled messages receive Pending status and are added to a server mailing queue. This simple, yet effective and valuable feature is great for organizing a marketing campaign of several sequential newsletters or for ensuring that all your customers and colleagues receive season's or time-sensitive greetings on time.

    Unsubscribe feature

    Every outgoing message has a link to subscription management form where recipients can withdraw themselves from mailing lists or update their contact info. This helps you to build the trust of your customers and prevent your messages from being treated as spam.

    Email sender settings

    Every outgoing WebAsyst Mail message has From, Reply-To and Return-Path header fields set. You can create several “senders” and chose one of them for each message. This feature allows you to personalize senders and better manage response to your marketing campaign.

    Organize messages

    WebAsyst Mail has simple-to-use, intuitive interface. Left side of the page shows the message folder navigation tree. On the right you see the main work area where chosen folder contents are listed. Top menu provides easy access to all features and functions.

    You can organize your message into folders based on campaigns, topics or any other categories.

    Any message folder can be copied or moved to another using drag and drop. Messages can be selected and organized within folders using menu functions.

    Search function allows you to look up messages containing key terms in its text or subject. Search results list can be managed in the same manner as any folder contents – copied, moved, deleted.

    Collaborate

    Allow other system users to access your WebAsyst Mail

    ВYour WebAsyst account has a “Users” directory, where you can create new users and give them access rights to contact folders in your account. Every user will have a personal login and password to enter the system. Once inside, users may access only those parts to which they have been given access.

    WebAsyst Mail allows separate setup of access rights to each message folder. There are several levels of access rights which may be assigned:

    • Read — user can see list of prepare and sent messages inside the folder and view their contents
    • Write — in addition to Read functions, user can edit, add, delete and send prepared messages within folder
    • Full — all of the above and the ability to create and delete sub-folders

    User groups and access rights

    It is often necessary to assign identical access rights to a number of users at one time, based on their role within a team or organization. WebAsyst offers powerful capabilities to do so. This simplifies system management where there are a large number of users from different departments or branches.

    Instead of giving the necessary rights to each individual user, simply create a group, specify its access rights, and then add member users to the group. Every user will inherit access rights that were set up for the group.

    Each user can be a member of several groups and can have his own specifically set permissions. Effective rights will be a combination of personal and group rights of the user.
