Upgrade Policy

WebAsyst provides web services (Software) in two versions: Hosted Solution and Open Source. Both versions of Software are subject to the following Upgrade Policy.

Background & Definitions:

WebAsyst is continually improving and enhancing Software, based on customers feedback and market demand. New versions of the Software are released from time to time at WebAsyst’s discretion.

Upgrade is any modification in Software, e.g. source code content, database structure, or interface appearance, limited to one WebAsyst service.

New web services developed and released by WebAsyst are not considered Software upgrades.

Any software modifications, e.g. adding new features, removing or redesigning existing features, or making interface changes are completely at WebAsyst’s discretion.

Policy Details:

Registered customers receive all upgrades FREE.

WebAsyst notifies registered customers about every Software upgrade by email, and all upgrades are available on the website www.webasyst.net immediately after release.

All hosted accounts are upgraded by WebAsyst without interruption of service, including metadata (database structure) modification to customer databases.

Open Source customers receive upgraded copies of source code, which include setup instructions and SQL scripts for metadata (database structure) modification.

Limitations:

Open Source customers may have made custom modifications to their copies of the source code. In this case WebAsyst expressly disclaims all warranties and shall not be liable for any incompatibility problems of the source code previously obtained by such customers with upgraded version of source code.

The terms and conditions of this Upgrade Policy may be updated by WebAsyst at any time with or without notice to you. The current policy is always available on the website www.webasyst.net.
